Music24 aims to offer those who are most socially isolated and vulnerable in our society the opportunity to engage in their local community in a creative and non-judgmental environment. We build communities that are supportive, where people feel accepted and heard. We use the many benefits of music to help us to do this, thereby improving physical and emotional wellbeing, quality of life and reducing loneliness and isolation.

Co-founders, Graeme Davis and Teela Hughes, established Music24 in April 2014. Initially, we offered new and innovative pilot projects that focused on adults with learning disabilities and young onset dementia. This was seed-funded by Luton Borough Council (LBC). The initial work has led to us developing a ‘community music therapy’ formula that is so popular in our sessions today and something we continue to nurture and adapt with new groups. Since 2014 we’ve been growing our services across Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire and now provide ongoing support to around 300+ adults every year, supporting individuals with learning disabilities, mental health problems, dementia and/or at risk of social isolation.
