Music24: Elevate - Community Music Development Programme

Are you a musician looking to expand your skills and explore new employment opportunities within community music?

Music24 is excited to offer a new artistic development programme starting January 2025, for up to 4 musicians in Central Bedfordshire. This unique opportunity will help you develop your talents and apply them in settings such as schools, care homes, community choirs, day centres, and projects with marginalised groups.

To apply, please fill in our Expression of Interest form and upload your CV and any supporting information here.

Masterclasses for Local Creatives

Music24 has been awarded UKSPF funding to run a creative development programme in Central Bedfordshire. Masterclasses and workshops will take place from March 2025 and focus on building a range of key skills for facilitating others in music and other community engagement.

These sessions will be subject-based and open to any local musicians or creatives interested in developing their knowledge and skills. These sessions will cover essential skills for delivering high-quality community engagement.

To sign up to receive information about the upcoming masterclasses, please email us on info@music24.org.uk and state that you’d like to join the mailing list for this project.

Hertfordshire opportunities

Community musicians needed in Herts

Community Musicians should ideally play Piano or Guitar sufficiently enough to lead on an exercise. They support the Music Therapist and/or Lead Facilitator(s) in running the session. Being proficient in singing and drumming is also an added bonus. We require people who can change quickly between rhythms and pace in order to adapt to the ever-growing music as the sessions unfold. It is hoped that potential Community Musicians can play in various different styles, are open to feedback and can work well within a group setting. The ability to listen to others whilst making music is essential.
A lot of what Music24 does during our sessions is based around improvisation and making music ‘in the moment’. We can advise on top Music Therapy books to read and websites to visit and give training in order to help you master your technique whilst supporting other people in music.
